Orlando Science Elementary students had the opportunity to visit the campus of the University of Central (UCF) and partake in their annual Engineering Fair. This video displays some of the events and activities that were provided by the UCF Engineering students. Community partnerships benefit all stakeholders. This is only one example of OSES incorporating STEM into our school system.

The OSS Model United Nations team attended the virtual FHSMUN 42 conference on March 6-7th, 2021. We are proud to announce that Aleena A., Alexis D., Ricardo F., and Savannah E. V. attended and our team performed extremely well, passing numerous resolutions in different committees and adapting to a virtual platform. Aleena A. was awarded “Outstanding Delegate” for her work in the African Union and won “Outstanding Delegation” by wonderfully representing Angola. Alexis D. was awarded “Outstanding Delegate” for her work in the Security Council and won “Distinguished Delegation” by wonderfully representing China. Congratulations to these amazing future diplomats!

Congratulations to OSS 8th grader, Tiffani G., for winning the Lockheed Martin Science Challenge at the Orlando Science Center! This is her second year in a row winning the top prize in her category. We wish Tiffani the best of luck as she continues with her project at the state level.

OSS Middle High is pleased to share that 9th grader, Atreya M. was named a Broadcom MASTERS finalist on September 14th, 2021! Founded and produced by the Society for Science, Broadcom MASTERS is the premier STEM
