Orlando Science Schools Science Olympiad Teams Won 1st place In The State Science Olympiad Tournament


This amazing accomplishment means our team is going to the 2013 National Science Olympiad in Ohio on May 18th. Our Science Olympiad Team got first place two years in a row and this is the third year that we are competing nationwide.

The students worked very hard and came to the school every Saturday to study on their events. We would like to recognize team members: Annabel Zinn, Ahmed Rashid, Meghana Bomma, Erin Martin, Cassandra Spence, Isaac Suazo, Yasmin Figeroua, Blake Hollis, Hedyeh Erfani, Hastee Erfani, Omar Gammouh, Yashasvi Bhat, Sam Dai, Sam Gonzalez and Gage Lamoureux. We are very proud of our students and thankful to our coaches, parents and school admin for their support and dedication.

OSS is in Top 10 at National Science Olympiad

OSS Science Olympiad ranked in top 10 in two categories at 2012 National Science Olympiad.

In Experimental Design category; Beth Martin, Daniela Gutierrez, and Raquel Guerrero received 6th place.

In Awesome Aquifer category; Carlos Barea and Isaac Gordon received 9th place.

2011 Science Olympiad National Tournament

OSS students competed in the National Science Olympiad in Madison, Wisconsin after winning 2nd in the State of Florida!!!!
The students worked extremely hard and put forth their best effort!!!
It was the first time for OSS to go to Nationals and they learned so much

OSS received second place in the Florida State Science Olympiad at University of the Central Florida on Saturday, April 16th !!!

With this tremendous accomplishment, OSS Science Olympiad team has progressed to the next level and will compete in National Science Olympiad in Wisconsin on May 20th!!
