K-6 Curriculum
for K-12 Students
Swimming is a lot of fun, but drowning is a real danger. Even kids who know how to swim can drown. Water safety education courses and swimming lessons can save lives.
See the link below for resources and information on water safety education courses and swimming lessons in your neighborhood.

Summer Reading
Dear Parents/Students,
Summer reading has been a tradition of Orlando Science School since 2008. The summer is the perfect time for students to reap the many rewards of independent reading. As educators, we realize the importance of reading throughout the school year and would like to encourage reading during the summer as a way for students to maintain reading levels and skills they have acquired within the school year.
This year, all incoming K-6 students are required to pick 1 novel from the 2024-2025 Sunshine State Reading List for their respective grades. Students must read at least one book from that list as their choice novel over the summer. Students will complete a project once we return to school. It is important that the novel is read prior to the start of school so that students have ample time to complete the project.
The links below will take you to the SSYRA books for the 2024-2025 school year.

Club Guide
Orlando Science Schools strive to create a school environment in which children are exposed to many facets of learning in order to allow them to become well-rounded individuals. It is our hope that by providing children with a well-rounded curricular program coupled with a variety of extra-curricular activities we will expose children to opportunities for learning that may broaden their horizons and foster an interest that may become a life-long career path or interest.
OSES prides itself on being able to provide a variety of activities that will appeal to a variety of students and interests and it is our belief that the activities that we offer will provide children with opportunities for growth and learning on many levels.
We continue to seek to expand and tailor our extracurricular programs to meet the needs of the student population that we serve and continue to look for ways to continue to improve our activities. The activities are held based on student interest and faculty availability.
