The OSS Mathletes competed in the Florida Association of Mu Alpha Theta February regional competition at Sun Coast Community High School on February 14th. After starting our day at 5:30 a.m. and driving nearly three hours to reach the competition, our Algebra 2 and Geometry teams did an amazing job and received 1st place. Additionally, the Algebra 1 team got 2nd place.
Our individual winners in Algebra 1 were Siyona Mishra, taking 5th place; Nelson Ying, 7th; Minh Le, 13th; Peter Penev, 13th; and Arnav Pulyala, 15th. In Geometry, Sanjana Konda received 1st place; Esha Ranade, 4th; Nicholas Nguyen, 11th; and Harshitha Uppada, 15th. In Algebra 2, Alexandria Bias ranked 2nd; Lance Jittan, 4th; Zachary McClure, 7th; Tran Le, 11th; Karan Desai, 14th; and Arshia Goyal, 15th. Congratulations to all Mathletes!!!
