Dear Students and Parents,

OSS will administer the PSAT/NMSQT test on Wednesday, October 17th. PSAT is an optional but very important paper-based test for college bound students in order to better prepare for SAT.

Most colleges and universities require SAT or an alternative test for admission. Both PSAT, and SAT are produced by College Board, a prestigious non-profit organization.

PSAT is especially crucial for juniors. For 11th grade students, the test’s name changes into National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) and many scholarship opportunities, including the prestigious National Merit Scholarship are tied to it. We also very highly recommend the test for our 10th and 9th graders. It is always helpful to see how college ready you are as early as possible.

Please contact Zafer Demir at zafer.demir@orlandoscience.org for any questions regarding PSAT/NMSQT.
