OSS Students spent 3 amazing days at Silver Springs State Park. OSS' CMP and Academic Team members studied SAT Math, and Reading with their teachers and participated in a reading program.

They read an average of more than 200 pages at the camp, and completed one full SAT Math Session. Wally Vargas Rios received 1st place with 93%, Caleb Spence and Dominic Canora Received 2nd with 89% and Reynardo Jittan received 3rd place with 86%. All the students studied very hard and received great results. Congratulations!

Besides academic studies, students played outdoor games such as volleyball, dodge ball, and soccer with their teachers in the field. The indoor games were challenging and fun. Students also had the opportunity to canoe in the Silver Springs and meet alligators, wild birds and some monkeys at the park. Nature walk was also fun and students saw many different type of insects, plants and trees.

On the last night, they gathered around the camp fire and Raquel, an 8th grade student at OSS, sang beautiful songs and Mr. Duman told us scary stories which really made us jump. We sang camp fire songs, roasted marshmallows and told stories around the camp fire.

It was one of the best camps that we have ever attended during Spring Break!
