Orlando Science School Math Department is proud of our students that were recognized by the Duke University TIP Program. The Statewide recognition ceremony was held at the University of Florida in Gainesville on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012.


Only the top 5 percent of academically talented students in the seventh grade are invited to participate in the Talent Search, making this a very distinguished pool 32 Orlando Science School students participated and took the SAT Test after they studies very hard with the OSS Math Teachers.

Dominic Canora, 7th grade, scored 590 from Official SAT Math Section. Duke TIP recognizes Dominic with Grand Level Award. We congratulate him with his outstanding success.

State Level outstanding recognitions were given to 16 Students.

12 7th Grade Students are qualified for Academy for Summer Studies according to their SAT-Math or Reading. Congratulations; These students have qualified to attend Duke- TIP’s Academy for Summer Studies which offers an exceptional academic and social experience for those students who are among the top five percent of academically talented students in their grade level. Students in this program will experience challenging coursework and build friendships with other academically gifted peers.
