Orlando Science Schools seventh graders went to Marine Science Center for marine education field trip. Charter buses were equipped with DVDs that play marine ecosystem on the way to field trip. The first activity is seine netting in the Atlantic Ocean at Ponce Inlet.
October 19th National Junior Honor Society held their first induction ceremony. The society honors students who are highly ranked in the categories of character, leadership, scholarship, and citizenship.


National Public Lands Day (NPLD) 2010 celebrates service and recreation on public lands while educating volunteers about one of the City of Orlando's most unique parks - Bill Frederick Park @ Turkey Lake.
OSMS Received 3rd Place in Florida State Science Olympiad
Florida State Science Olympiad was held on Saturday, April 10th. OSMS received 3rd place in the State of Florida among 54 schools that competed.
OSMS ranked 3rd place in Junior Solar Spirit Car Competition
Last Saturday OSS attended Energy Whiz Olympics with three teams from each grade levels. Teams have used the solar cars have been designed and built by students along with their coaches.
Congratulations to OSMS Science Olympiad Team
Central Florida Regional Science Olympiad was held on Saturday, February 27th. OSMS ranked 2nd in overall placement among the 37 teams that competed.
OSS Future City Team received a Special Award for "Most Creative Use of Materials" in Tampa Bay.

The Magic Region Odyssey of the Mind Competition was held on Saturday, February 13th, 2010. Two teams worked diligently to be ready to represent Orlando Science Middle School.
